The g220blog exists for three primary reasons. First, culture is rapidly changing, and the Church is increasingly mirroring those changes. This blog seeks to be a voice to the church from within the church.
Second, I find that I love to share things I have learned! When I purchased my first iPhone, I was so excited to discover all the wonderful features, I shared with anybody who would listen. That is true for other areas of my life, especially the things I discover in Scripture! My hope is that my enthusiasm will be exposed in what I write.
Finally, in the last year, we have come through a grueling journey with cancer. My wife, and best friend, was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer on March 27th, 2014. Her cancer blog, which I also write, can be found at http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/valerieaalexander
While this isn’t intended as another cancer blog, the will be occasions in which I feel the need to comment!
The name g220 is in reference to Galatians 2:20 which says in part
“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me…
As a believer, it’s my goal to reflect that truth as I interact with my culture.
Thanks for visiting the g220blog!
